Agencies and lawyers in Italy are built to carry out your move once you've decided. I help with the part before that: the decisions, the order they happen in, and the American side of the move, where many of the expensive mistakes start.
Almost everything I know is free on this site. These services are for when your situation needs someone to look at your actual numbers and your actual documents.
Who you'd be working with
I'm Caesar Sedek. I've spent 30 years in cybersecurity, which means I manage risk for a living, and I'm planning my own family's move to Italy for 2030. I've worked with clients on Elective Residency and Digital Nomad visas, scouting and relocation planning. I'm not a lawyer or a tax adviser. Your written plan (6–8 pages) covers:
- Your visa path and when to start it
- The order of your decisions across the three clocks: life, money and paperwork
- The American side: Social Security timing, retirement accounts, health coverage and leaving your state, written as questions to take to your CPA
- Where to live and how to scout, if you haven't chosen yet
- Now, Next, Not Yet: what to do this year, what comes after, and what to leave alone
Not included: tax or legal advice, document review, ongoing email support.
ERV Packet Review · $495 per household
For: you're assembling an Elective Residency, Digital Nomad or Autonomo application and want a second set of eyes before the consulate sees it.
How it works:
1. Upload your documents, or share them from Visto Facile.
2. Your written review, within 7 days.
3. A 60-minute call to go through it.
Your written review covers:
- Your income and how the consulate is likely to read it
- Missing, weak or expired documents
- Your consulate's known quirks
- Timing: apostilles, translations and your appointment
Not included: filling in forms, legal representation, contacting the consulate for you.

Why per household?
Because couples and families move as one case. The consulate looks at your household's income, so I do too.
What happened to the scouting trip service?

Will you handle the paperwork or the move for me?
No. I help you decide and prepare. For filing, legal representation or Italian tax elections, you'll need a lawyer or a commercialista, and I'll help you know what to ask.
Is this legal or tax advice?
No. It's planning and education. Have qualified professionals check your situation, ideally ones who understand both countries.
